This is a huge world which I had started in Minecraft Classic 0.0.15a on June 19,2025, later on I have played this in versions c0.0.19a_06, c0.0.23a_01, c0.28_1 and once I'm done with my Indev world I'll be playing it again in version c0.30. The reason why I decided to play Indev instead of continuing working on this world was because I decided it would be fun to invite some frineds to build in my world and I felt 0.30 was the best version to do it in. The firends who built stuff in my world were Soybean_56, Mirajaded, Stelecat and Xelanater Ellevanox, in this order. My plan for this world is to build a city, which I'll keep building at least until the whole surface of this world is covered by builds.
My plan is to have a map of the world on this site along with some text that will talk about the builds, which might help you, should you want to explore this world once it's available for download. (I plan to make this world public once I'm done with it)
Here is a world tour of my classic world I did before I started the Indev world. (part 2 will come once I'm done with the world)
This is a map of the classic world, hover over it to see how I divided the world into different sections. You can click each sections to get more info about it. This will get updated once I add more builds to this world.
This is the part of the city that I built first while playing c0.0.15a. The builds here include a statue, five family houses, a ship, a pedestrian bridge, a restaurant, a apartment complex, a beach area, a convenience store, a satelite observatory, a lighthouse (suggested by a viewer named neonlight), two parking lots, a bridge for cars, some custom trees for decoration and a park. The first thing I had built in that area was the statue, which I had built during the first stream. The reason why I chose to built a statue first was so I could have an origin point of the city, that way I can point at it in the future and say "This is where it all started" (given that I'll have the dedication and time to work on this project, lol) and I didn't want the origin point to be just a house. Another noteworthy build is the lighthouse, which is the first build that was suggested by a viewer. Originally I wanted to make a seating area in it's place, but neeonlight suggested a lighthouse, which was a much better idea and I hope to get more viewer suggestions in the future. There's also the satelite observatory, which I'd say is memorable for the satelite dishes, as the shape was difficult to make look right (at least somewhat). And the last notable built is the ship, which I'd say turned out quite well despite the limitations. You might not be able to tell from the image, but I used stone for sails and cobblestone plus dirt to make a flag. I believe the shape of the ship turned out quite well.
Aside from these things you may also notice some things underwater in this area. Those are corals and seaweed. I didn't include them in the list as they were something I added later on, since they're built out of colored cloth, which wasn't available in c0.0.15a.
This area is mostly finished, I just need to finish the area that's right of the observatory on the map.
Not much to say about it here, I've decided to talk about it in a seperate section as I felt it didn't fit into other areas. This was done in c0.0.15a. I've decided to work on this because part of this area felt kind of swampy, so I decided to expand it and turned part of my world into a marsland of sorts. I think it's quite cool.
This area mainly consists of family houses that I hade built in version c0.0.19a_06. Aside from those, there is also a playground, a small beach area and some stands. I tried to make it so each house has a slightly different desing. Each of the houses alo has a garden with some trees and a place to park your car. The houses here are a lot larger than the ones in the c0.0.15a area, for example each of the houses here has a bathroom.
This area is currently unfinished and I plan to build some more family houses here.
This is currently the most finished area of the world, which I started working on in version c0.0.23a_01 since it added the cloth blocks. As the name suggests, one one the notable builds here is a hotel, with the other being a greenhouse with various plants, most notably large flowers and mushrooms made out of cloth. The large mushrooms were of course inspired by vanilla and the large flowers were inspired by Infdev+ (as that's where I saw them first). The hotel area also includes two parking lots for guests, a beach area and a park that surrounds the greenhouse.
The hotel itself is quite large, as it has three floors. When you enter it you'll find yourself in a large lobby with a skylight, from which you can either go to a gym on the right, the dining hall to the left if you're a guest and kitchen or laundry room if you're member of staff. If you go straight you can either go around the elevator to the beach area or upstairs, where you'll find a bar on the balcony above the gym along with all the hotel rooms that fill the two top floors. These rooms come in various sizes and include things like AC, TV a fancy bathroom with a shower and other things. Rooms on the lower floor even have a balcony. Next to some of these rooms you'll also find a broom closet and a storage room for cleaning products. On the roof you may find a large air conditioning unit along with some tanks that hold water and lava.
As I've mentioned, this area is mostly finished. The only thing remaining for me to do is to add some decorations in the form of custom trees and maybe other things aound the back of the hotel.
Haven't yet thought of a name for this area. This area is heavily WIP, the only builds there are the sandcastle and graveyard, both built by Xelanater. I currently have no plans as to what I'd like to do in this part of the world.
This district is called "Bussiness and entertaintment - upper" because the main the builds there are currently mainly themed around that, as there is a constuction site of a large offic building, a town hall with a small park around it, a galery, a monorail station, a bank, a farm and a decorative build (the last to were built by Xelanater). The reason why I've separated the Bussiness and entertaintment district into two parts is because I didn't want to have one large district that would have a lot of builds in it.
The first thing I had built in this district is the construction site, which I had built in c0.0.19a_06. The were two reasons why I decided to build this, the first being that classic has quite limited build height, so I built a construction site to imply that a tall building is being built. The second reason was that a construction site is kind of bare bones, which fit with the fact the selection in that version was bare bones as well. Plus there's the fact that the sponge was added in that version, which is yellow and a lot of construction equipment, like an excavator, is yellow. I also replaced all the grass that was in the place of the construction site with dirt to make it look like it was trampled on.
After that I had built the brutalist gallery in version 0.0.23a_01. I was inspired to built it by a video I saw about using brutalist architecture in minecraft. I think it turned out quite well, but it's still missing some decoration. After that I built the town hall with a small park around it. I built the town hall with a rainbown roof, which I originally did as a joke, but I've come to quite like how it looks. The town hall was one of those builds where I wasn't sure how it would turn out while building, but I ended up liking it in the end.
Aside from that I had built a monorail station for my monorail track, which I'll talk about in a different section.
The currently last thing that I had built in this district is a bank with a vault underneath it. I plan to use the vault to store valuables, by which I mean things like gold and iron blocks, mossy cobblestone and other things that are important or hard to obtain in the upcoming versions. The vault also serves as a bit of a "payment" for the valuables. That's because if I simply placed the valuable blocks in the world, then it would feel a bit cheaty. Which is why I decided that to earn the valuables I have to build a nice vault with a bank above it so I "earn" them by putting the effort into making the builds look nice.
Aside from my builds there are also two builds by Xelenater, those being a decorative build and a farm with a barn, windmill, wheat field and a silo. This district is still unfinished as I want to add more decorations and at least one build. Currently I'm thinking of adding a post office between the bank and the gallery.
This part of the map has three bussinesses in it, those being a theme park, a shooting range and a casino built by Soybean_56. Aside from those there is the monorail station, a monorail station, a church built by Mirajaded and a apartment complex built by Xelanater.
The theme park was built in version 0.0.23a_01 and the reason why I have decided to build it was because I wanted a big build that would use the new coloured cloth blocks. The park includes a circus tent, a ferris wheel, a roller coaster, swinging ship, some stands and another ride (but I can't remember what's it supposed to be, lol). The entire park is surrounded by a colourful fence, which uses all cloth colours, with balloons on top. I tried to make it so each ballon has a diffrent combination of colours and design. Then there's the shooting range, which I built in 0.28_01, because that was the last version in which you could shoot arrows in creative. So I decided that it could be interesting to make a build around this mechanic. Aside from that I had built a monorail station for my monorail track, which I'll talk about in a different section. Beneath the station is a tiny apartment home inspired by videos about tiny aparments under train tracks.
Then there are the builds that weren't made by me. Starting with the smallest, there's the wooden church built by Mirajaded, inside of which you have some seats, a small area for children to play and some gold blocks under the podium where the priest stands (I wonder where those came from). Then there's the Classic casino by Soybean_56, which is a copy of his Classic+ casion from the Classic+ city project. You can find various things there, part of the build is for example a restaurant, then there are some slot machines, a black jack table and other things. You can find more information about it in this video.
Then there are the two builds made by Xelanater. The first you will probably notice is the apartment complex located between the theme park and the hotel area. It has five floors, each of which has sixteen apartments for a total of eighty. Some of them have a balcony, but none of them are properly furnished, so anyone who chooses to live there will have to bring their own furiniture. The second build is located across the road from the casino, that being a large underground area, whose structure looks like it was taken straight from a sci-fi megastracture, like the one found in "Blame!" for example. I don't know if I'll use the large underground are for anything, but I most likely won't as that would take away from the aesthetic.
This is a heavily unfinished area named after the fact that I plan to build a large research facility there, which will house a nether portal and an end portal inside of it (I'll get the end portal by using the b1.9 pre-releases). My plan is for the research facility to cover most of the unused area in this district.
There are currently two builds in this area, there is the gardening shop, a small green coloured store, which sells plants like trees and flowers, fungi and gardening equipment. It's made up of the building itself, which has a small garden on the roof and a garden where all the trees you can buy are stored. The second build is a lighthouse made of bricks and iron blocks with lava at the top serving as light. I got the lava there by using the liquid raising bug in c0.0.23a_01. I chose bricks and iron blocks instead of coloured cloth because that will get "bleached" in Infdev, whereas they will stay. Plus I wanted to make sure that it doesn't burn down due to the lava. Both of these builds were done in c0.0.28_01.
A heavily unfinised area, with only two builds made by others. The first being the "NUTS" building by Stelecat. The second being a submarine inside a dam, with an undergound section beneath it that connects to the large underground area in the lower bussiness district. I wonder how the submarine gets in and out, maybe a helicopter lifts it out?
My plan is to build the main monorail station here, hence the name of the district.
In this section I'll talk about my current plans for this world, some of which have been touched upon in the previous section. The goal for this world is to turn it into a city that covers the whole surface area. Basically I want the whole surface to look like it's purposefully used, which means that each area has a building, or road/path, or some custom trees or other plants or if the area is empty then it should look like it's one on purpose. Because I feel like to make a city look like a city, it needs to look like it's densely used. I'd say that the progress on the city is good, as more than half of the surface area can be considered to be used alredy.
As for the builds, I mainly build what I feel like at the given moment, but I also have some things planned, for example adding more family houses. I'd like to build one using bricks, because I feel like I hadn't utilised them enough. Then I'm thinking of building a post office in the upper bussiness district between the bank and the gallery (unless I come up with something better).
A big build that I'm also planning is a research facility, which will house a nether portal and an end portal. The nether portal will be there for fast travel and the end portal will be to access the end, because I fear that I might generate all three of the places where the end portals will generate before r1.0.
Aside from those there are plans that I'm not sure about, for example I'm thinking of building a small undergound portion of the city, where the buildings would make up the walls and there would be a plaza in the middle. Then I'm thinking of expanding the coral around the c0.0.15a area, but I'm not sure if I want to do that because I haven't yet decided what I want to do with the various bodies of water around the world. I would like to use all of them instead of removing them, but I don't know for what.
But aside from these build I also plan to add some more decorations around the world, like custom trees, plants and such, and more infrastructure like roads, paths and I need to finish the monorail line. I'd also like to add some cars to the world, my current plan is to base those on real world cars, or ones from popular culture.
