I'll be including more information about this project as time goes on.
I've decided to start working on this website a bit. I plan to use this website to talk about this project in more detail for those who are interested. This will include future plans, talking about how I want to handle updating and other things that I will consider to be important along the way. The first thing I've decided to do is to divide this site into sections, where each section will be dedicated to an individual minecraft phase and each section will have either a short summary of the phase if it's ongoing/finished along with a link to a website with more detail or plans for that phase if I haven't yet started it. I'll also be making a website for each phase along the way to talk about it in more detail.
Currenntly I'm mainly trying to decide how I want the site to look.
This project started of as a joke, where a friend of mine jokingly told me to "Do a mega project in c0.0.15a" to "prove myself". It took some thinking by me, but eventually I decided to accept the challange, as I thought it would be nice to play Minecraft Classic after a long time (I used to play Classic 0.30 back when it was available in browser, but stopped when I got access to newer versions). The mega project that I decided to take on was to build a city in a huge classic world. Originally I was planning to build the whole city in version c0.0.15a, but I eventually, with the advice of my friend, decided to update through the different versions of Classic, which eventually led to this project.
I'm somewhat laid back when it comes to going through the versions, as I like to take my time, because once I update I can't go back. As a result I only update when I feel like I had done everything I wanted in that version. This of course means that it will take a long time to reach beta or release versions, but I'm fine with that, as I'm prepared for the fact that this will be a long term project. Originally I only streamed myself working on this project (and also did some work off-stream), but later on I decided to start making videos, which would be used as progress updates and to nake progress on this project.
This world is currently work in progress, but I'm taking a break from it to work on an Indev world. I've generated this world in version c0.0.15a and once I come back to it I'll be playing it in version 0.30. It is a huge world and my goal for it is to turn it into a city of sorts. I'll consider it finished once I've used up all surface area. I also plan to use this world to store some valuable materials like iron and gold blocks for when I get to Infdev.

It is a world that I'm currently working on as of writing this paragraph. It is a nomal sized island world with square shape and normal theme. My goal is to use it as a base when I get to Infdev. I've written down a list of things that I want to build in this world and I'll consider it finished once I'm done with them. I'm also considering doing some special streams where I play this world in Indev+.

My current plan for Infdev is to have an Infdev 20100227-1433 so that I have a brick pyramid, import my Classic and Indev worlds into it and then play in Infdev 20100415. I'm going to keep updating the world through different versions, but I won't play all versions, only ones I feel like playing. I also haven't yet decided on how frequently will I update, I'll probably be updating whenever I feel like is the right time.
Infdev is a transitional phase between finite terran of Indev and infinite terran in Alpha, so I think what I do will be in similar vein, in the sense that connecting the finite worlds to the the rest of the world via roads and bridges and I'll be preparing for what's to come in Alpha.
I'll make a website for this phase once I get to it.
I haven't yet made plans for what I want to do in alpha, for now the only things I have in mind are sugar can and cactus farms and the nether. I'd also like to experiment with the early redstone a bit. I'll make plans as I play, especially once I get to Infdev.
I'll make a website for this phase once I get to it.
Just like with alpha, I don't have concrete plans for beta, but I feel like it will be an interesting experience to play it as I'll be able to obtain coloured wool, use pistons, make large mushrooms, build with a bunch of new blocks and other fun stuff. I plant to use the b1.9 pre-releases to obtain the end portal blocks.
I'll make a website for this phase once I get to it.
Release is a rather long phase of development, so I'll probably have to divide it into phases, but that's something for the future.
